Graduation Week Festivities

Dr. Schweitzer and Jayden Rohner (both in their Scout uniforms) exchange a hand shake during the awards ceremony at the Nodaway Valley High School auditorium in Greenfield. The special event was held during graduation week festivities on Tuesday evening, May 13th. Jayden was awarded his Eagle Scout rank earlier in the year. Dr. Schweitzer presented Jayden with an Eagle Scout cord to wear with his cap and gown during the graduation exercise held Sunday, May 18th. Dr. Schweitzer has been involved with the Scouting program for almost 60 years.
Michayla Winkelmann, Shannon Newbury, and Eli Harris received certificates from the Nodaway Valley Ministerial Association during the annual baccalaureate service. The special service was also held during graduation week at Nodaway Valley High School. The service was Wednesday, May 14th. Dr. Schweitzer serves as the current president of the Nodaway Valley Ministerial Association. The association is made up of all the ministers in Greenfield. The association maintains a benevolence fund and a very active benevolence ministry that helps many people with a variety of human needs.
